You've come a long way baby!
The founder of Tech Lizard Web Design and IT, Michele Gilhouse, started out as a "dabbler" in web design.
"Back in 1995, my first personal page was created using the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) features of Microsoft Word. Later I graduated to FrontPage but resolved to learn HTML. Now FrontPage isn't even on my machine! It wasn't until 2004 when I felt my HTML/CSS skills were worthy of a "non-personal" site and I did my first "pro" site.
Thinking back, those personal sites were HORRIBLE and the first "pro" site wasn't that great either, I'm glad they're offline. The point is, everyone has to start somewhere. Those first few sites revealed a true passion within me, combining two talents (art and technology) into something that started as a hobby and became a business.
That being said, I'd be nothing if it weren't for the kind support of my family, friends and peers. That's why I encourage supporting YOUR family, friends and peers in their endeavors, but not at the cost of your business image. Sometimes it's just best to leave it to the pros."
